While discussing the pleasing, beautiful state, how can we miss the captivating beaches of California? The pristine Californian beaches lure tourists worldwide; these gems on earth lack nothing from iconic surf spots to tranquil estuaries.

The calm beach surroundings with sand, mountains and tides never let you leave before the sky turns dark. Cheerful volleyball competitions on the shore create a different vibe for the tourists. Swimmable beaches are perfect for snorkelling and lounging. Sunbathing while enjoying your favourite novel will be a perfect hideout from your hectic life. Bonfires will be the best part of expecting your trip to be extraordinary. These expanse bays of California provide ample diversity for amusement.

Before I explain these manifold beaches’ endless features and properties, I have a list of your favourite beaches on this land. Some of them will be crazy occupied as they are everyone’s favourite so you should not visit them on weekends. While, others are secluded in the mountains, away from people and perfect for a hideout.The best thing you will love about California is the moderate weather. So you don’t need to delay your trip anymore. Let’s move onto it; you will surely love these blessings from nature.

Pfeiffer Beach

Pfeiffer beach in Big Sur is also known as The Purple Beach. It is well known for its rugged rock formations and unique scenery. The purple coloured sand of beach makes it look amazing. It is caused due to drained rainwater form the nearby cliffs containing several purple color minerals. The towery rock formation is perfect for a hike to the top.

One of the prominent features of beach is the keyhole rock, perfect spot for photography where you can capture the alluring seascape sceneries. This natural arch formation frames the sunset a certain times of the year. The roaring tides on the beach are a different kind of therapy. If you visit during low tides tide pools are formed on the shoreline, you might spot some seastars, anemones or carbs inside as well.

Coronado Beach 

Coronado beach in San Diago is famous for its white sand, sunsets, and scenic beauty. Beach offers a pristine coastline stretching for over a mile. The sparkling white sand is perfect for playing and making sandcastles. Expansive shoreline and gentle waves make the beach an ideal spot for several water sports and recreational activities.

Must visit the historic Hotel Del Coronado which holds the honor of hosting numerous famous personalities. Hotel has a charming Victorian architecture with a prime beachfront location. Coronado beach provides an impressive view of the San Diago skyline over the bay. Prefer to take a stroll at the shore and take your dog along, YES, it’s a dog beach.

Laguna Beach 

Shrouded in cliffs and rocky outcroppings, Laguna beach in the Orange County is also known as Thousand Steps Beach. Well known for its golden sands, tide pools, iconic scenery and clear waters, Laguna beach is home to largest number of sea facing lodgings, being the only one of this kind in the state.

Several attractions on the beach including Laguna Art Museum, Laguna Playhouse and the Sawdust Art Festival provide much opportunities of adventure and exploration. Overall, the beach is best place to hang out and relax in peaceful sunny atmosphere. We recommend adding it to your priority list. 

Capitola Beach

Capitola Beach; it’s small, attractive and sweet. The Capitola beach is only of its kind, hails you with its colorful coastal vibe. Beach features a picturesque stretch of sand where you can relax, sunbath and roam along thew shoreline. Once here, wander through the captivating Capitola village, a quaint seaside community filled with colorful cottage, boutiques, art galleries and cafes.

Explore the pleasing streets, fish around the shops, and soak-up the laib back atmosphere. Rent a kayak or stand-up paddleboard to explore the waters of Capitola. Cast a fishing line on the Capitola Dock and try your luck for at a perch, rockfish or halibut. Take a whale watching cruise from the dock and head to a memorable adventure to watch the migrating whales as they travel along the Pacific shore.

Once hungry, forage the restaurants and eateries of Capitola Beach for fresh seafood, gourmet cuisines or a local dish to satisfy your taste buds. 

Santa Monica 

On the west of Los Angeles this incredible beach invites millions oof visitors annually all across the globe. Its iconic pier, mesmerizing beauty and excellent sunset is gonna be a unique experience. The Santa Monica Pier has so many adventures waiting you. My personal favourite are the ferris wheel and roller coaster that giving stunning view of the seashore.

If you want to try something great go for a bike or rollerldes which you could easily rent at the beach. Roam around the beach with beautiful ocean views. High-end surroundings of the beach doesn’t let you worry about options of activities to perform at this wonderful place. Try visiting The Third Street Promenade just near the beach to do some worthwhile shopping and entertainment. 

Malibu Lagoon State Beach

Renowned for surfriding opportunities, Malibu beach is also known as The Surfrider Beach. The Malibu Lagoon Bird Sanctuary is home to several species of birds including shroebirds, waterfowl and manymore avian species, making it best for birdwatching.

Beach offers finest waves to surf on but I would not recommend you to swim because of the high currents. Don’t foget to take a hike at the natural trails passing the nearby coastal dunes and wetlands and enjoy the gorgeous sunset. If these aren’t your things, head to Malibu pier for some sports fishings while enjoying the scenery and have a great dining experience afterwards.

Manhattan Beach 

The charming beach has its unique features and its not so busy as well. A perfect weekend hideout for you with tranquil coasts and pristine sands. Take a stroll or an adventurous  bike ride on The Strand along the coastline while enjoying the pleasing beach views. Renowned for its volleyball plays Manhattan Beach hosts several volleyball tournaments round the calender including the Manhattan Beahc Open.

Once here must visit the Pier and Roundhouse Aquarium to learn more about the marine life of beach and local coastal ecosystems. Besides these, you may dine and shop at the beach or explore the daring surfing spots.

Huntington Beach 

The distinctive modern surfing at the beach make it favourite spot for the surfers. The rich surfing heritage makes stand out  when discussing water sports. Beach is home to International Surfing Museum that offers so much on sports history and several surf shops and schools.

One of a longest beach piers, the Huntington Beach Pier offers sightseeing and fishings.Dine at the Huntington Beach Harbour while sipping bear and enjoying the scenery. Take a stroll on the feet kissing sand along with your pet dog as they are allowed here. You can also fly a kite on the beautiful spectacular skyline of the beach. 

La Jolla Beach 

La Jolla beach in San Diago is a paradise on earth with enviable coastal beaches equipped with abundance of adventurous opportunities. The gentle waves makes the beach family friendly so you don’t need to retreat your mat. Swim fearlessly as the lifeguards patrol here day long. The La Jolla Underwater Park and Ecological Reserve is so safe for scuba diving, snorkelling and underwater exploration.
